On Our Radar
What caught our eye before visiting — from reviews and research, not a stay.
A hotel in Kabukicho, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. 50 rooms in 7 types, themed as a tropical resort with furniture imported directly from Bali.
The top Platinum type has its own open-air bath and bedrock sauna; the Moderate type comes with a massage chair.
The lobby serves seasonal detox water and a soup of the day, free of charge. There are also plans for girls' nights, fan-gathering parties, and group parties.
We haven't been yet, so a star rating is still a ways off.
