What caught our eye before visiting — from reviews and research, not a stay.
A love hotel called HOTEL SKYCLUB1 -LEGEND- in Ogiyama, Beppu City, Oita. Sits right along the Beppu IC on the Kyushu Expressway, on a hillside overlooking Beppu city and Beppu Bay.
The view is ranked among Japan's top 100 night views. Every room has an artificial radon bath, and some rooms add an open-air bath.
The lobby has a free beer server and drink bar, reportedly a first for Oita, and every room comes with a ReFa beauty shower head.
We haven't been yet, so a star rating is still a ways off.
