What caught our eye before visiting — from reviews and research, not a stay.
A designer love hotel in Shinagawa, Tokyo, opened in May 2022. All 50 rooms follow a completely different concept.
"Under the Sky, On the Earth" is a glamping-style room with artificial turf, projected campfire footage, and an 85-inch TV/100-inch projector. There's also a "VIP Party" room that connects to its neighbor for up to 6 guests.
The concepts came out of an open call for ideas that drew over 2,200 entries, and several have gone viral on social media. A 3-minute walk from JR Gotanda Station.
We haven't been yet, so a star rating is still a ways off.
